the beginning.......continued
......and so there you have it. the very first new wave song that was played in metro-manila was pale shelter by tff. as i mentioned previously, wxb at that time was basically a pop station. but with the rising volume of calls for pale shelter, i decided to research more of the UK artists and their music. with the help of jessie gonzales, the late alex sy and a lot of my loyal listeners (whose names i really can't remember), i was able to compile a couple of songs enough to come up with a program called WAVE 30. i know, i know, even a 3 year old kid can tell you that the reason why i named it wave30 is because (this is gonna floor you!).....its just 30 minutes of new wave music, silly! its probably becoming obvious now that during the early 80s, i had the body of a 25 year old hunk with the brain of a tsetse fly! ............................. bzzzz....bzzzzzzz...i think i smell food! be back in a bit......

hey dj blare
if you happen to be listening to 89dmz back in the day you got to be familiar with dj blare. she's one of the best deejays on the planet and she could give the guys a run for their money too. since the privatization of dmz last '01, this is the first time i've had the chance to chat with her. she still looks the same and she just had a baby girl. nice to hear she's doing great in hk. miss you blare

listening to okgangfm while watching pacman fight rios. pacman won but i couldn't get over the feeling that i had more excitement listening to the guys of okgangfm than watching manny win. wierd :)
